About Frankel
The area is named after the Frankels, a merchant family who bought coconut and nutmeg plantations here in 1912 and later developed it into housing estates.
Many of the side roads are named after local fruits such as duku, chiku, mangis, pulasan, rambai and langsat, which gives the estate its nickname.
